Team Maryland also includes several other All-Metro players: Archbishop Curley running back Deonte Harris, McDonogh offensive lineman Ellis McKennie, Bel Air offensive lineman John Gallina, and Arundel linebacker Diondre Wallace.

North Harford's Sean Bowling, the 2013 All-Metro kicker, has recovered from a broken ankle suffered while training last April and is the teams' kicker and punter.

Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference co-champion McDonogh has two players on the team, McKennie and cornerback Kareem Montgomery.

Three St. Frances players made it: split end Devin Phelps and cornerbacks Justice Pettus-Dixon and Malik Christian.

Other local players selected: River Hill split end Jon Kanda; Long Reach defensive end Ron'Dell Carter, Old Mill linebacker Noah Fitzgerald, St. Paul's center Garrett Mullin and Archbishop Spalding offensive lineman Alex Plotkin.

Some of the area's top players heading to major FBS programs would like to play in the game but are not able to, including All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year Winston DeLattiboudere III, who is headed to Minnesota. They have to be at school before the game or their college coaches don't want them to risk injury by playing in the game.

The Terps, however, have four incoming players in the game: McKennie, Linganore lineman E.J. Donahue, Potomac defensive tackle Keiron Howard and Fort Hill cornerback Ty Johnson.

Wallace, Pettus-Dixon and Thomas Stone cornerback Trey Lee have signed with Towson and Georgetown Prep offensive lineman David Forney is headed to Navy.

Archbishop Curley coach Sean Murphy will coach Team Maryland in the 58th Annual Big 33 Classic June 13 at Hersheypark Stadium. Maryland is the defending champion after winning the first double-overtime game in Big 33 history, 31-24, last summer.
