Northwestern quarterback Martaz Boone completed a 46-yard pass to receiver Teion Hopkins as the Wildcats defeated Dunbar in Sunday's Ravens high school Quarterback Challenge at halftime of the Ravens-Falcons game at M&T Bank Stadium.
In the showdown of Baltimore City rivals, the longest completed pass won the competition, and Boone connected with Hopkins on his second attempt after throwing an incompletion intended for Damon Alston.
Dunbar quarterback Zionnez Spencer completed both of his passes -- 36 yards to Juan Campbell and 40 yards to Juan Robinson, but Boone and Hopkins edged him out on the final toss of the competition.
With their victory, the Wildcats players received $250 college savings plans and also earned a $500 Under Armour gift card for their athletics department.
The next Ravens home game on Nov. 9 will feature Eastern Shore rivals Washington vs. Queen Anne's. On Nov. 30, C. Milton Wright takes on Thomas Johnson. North Carroll faces South Carroll on Dec. 14 and Towson opposes Eastern Tech on Dec. 28.
