Mount St. Joseph senior guard Randy Miller, an All-Metro second-team basketball selection, has committed to Mount St. Mary's.
Miller, who spent three years on varsity and was a two-year starter for the Gaels, committed to Delaware in March. Later that month, the Blue Hens fired coach Monte Ross. They still haven't named a replacement.
This past season, Miller averaged 13.5 points, three rebounds and 1.7 assists as the Gaels (33-6) finished in first place in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference and Baltimore Catholic League during the regular season. They reached the title game in both league tournaments.
"He's a very good shooter, like a lot of [previous MSJ guards] were," MSJ coach Pat Clatchey told The Sun in March. "He's a good, solid defensive player on the ball and off the ball. He knows how to play."
Mount St. Mary's went 14-19 in the 2015-16 season and reached the Northeast Conference tournament semifinals. Miller will join fellow Gaels star Miles Wilson, who pledged to the Mountaineers more than a year ago.
