McDonogh soccer standout Nic Brown commits to Loyola

McDonogh junior forward Nic Brown, who earned All-Metro first-team honors in the fall, has committed to Loyola Maryland.

Brown finished with 18 goals and eight assists to help the No. 2 Eagles (19-1) reach the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship. He will be reunited with former McDonogh and Baltimore Celtic club coach Steve Nichols, who took over at Loyola last year.

Brown, who also considered Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina State and Clemson, returned from training camp for the Under-17 Jamaican National Team last week.
