Despite five players reaching double figures, Maryland couldn't get past its Pennsylvania counterparts, falling 104-101 in the Maryland-Pennsylvania senior all-star game at Harrisburg Christain Athletic Center on Saturday.
Maryland had won the previous two meetings in the annual event, including a 118-114 double-overtime victory last year.
For the Maryland squad, Aaren Smith (Mount Hebron) had 17 points and 16 rebounds and Scott Harrelson (Dulaney) added a team-high 19 points and six rebounds.
After trailing 93-80 with three minutes left, Maryland pulled within three and had a chance to tie at the buzzer, but a 3-point attempt from Kevin Steadman's (Century) was short of the mark.
Seth Henry (Reservoir) scored 14 points; Reggie Rouse (Calvert Hall) had 11 and Gabe Ceribelli (Hereford) finished with 10.
