With the lacrosse regular season's final day here in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference, plenty of questions remain as the teams battle for playoff spots and positioning.

Five teams are already assured a playoff berth with No. 1 McDonogh (15-1, 8-0 MIAA) already claiming the top seed.

After that, things get sticky with plenty at stake in Tuesday's slate of games.

No. 2 Boys' Latin (12-3, 7-1), No. 3 St. Paul's (12-5, 6-2), No. 4 Calvert Hall (13-5, 5-3) and No. 5 Loyola Blakefield (8-5, 5-3) are all in, but haven't locked in their seedings.

The sixth and final spot will belong to either No. 6 Severn (14-6, 3-5) or Gilman (3-12, 3-5).  Severn claims the playoff berth with a win at already eliminated Archbishop Spalding (5-10, 1-7) or a Gilman loss to visiting McDonogh.

At Boys' Latin, the Lakers will try to hold off surging St. Paul's with the winner assured the second seed and thus earning a first-round bye. The loser will host Severn or Gilman in Friday's opener.

At Calvert Hall, the Cardinals host Loyola Blakefield with the winner earning the fourth seed and the loser taking fifth. The teams are assured to see each other in Friday's opening round, so today's game determines where the game will take place.

Here's a look at the important games to watch Tuesday.
