All-Howard County boys track team

Performer of the Year
ZACH BROWN
Wilde Lake

A three-sport standout, the senior closed out his high school career with another fine campaign in track after being named to All-Metro teams for football and wrestling in the fall and winter, respectively.

Brown won the 100 and 200 meters in Howard County. At the Class 3A East region meet, he helped on relays, and at the state meet he finished second in the 100 and fourth in the 200. He's headed for Hargrave and then Maryland to play football.
Coach of the Year
DAVE GLENN
Howard

Glenn guided the Lions to a regional crown and then a second consecutive Class 2A state title.

Howard has been overshadowed somewhat by traditional track powers in the county, but Glenn has done a good job of building the program. He helped develop versatile performers such as Joey Thompson, Anthony Elliott and Curtis Ford.
