Jenna Garden assisted Margot Lawn for a 1-0 Cavaliers lead in the first half and scored the game-winner with seven minutes left in the game to beat the visiting Mawrtians (2-12, 1-10 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference).

Spalding improved to 16-3 and 9-2.


No. 5 Garrison Forest 2, St.Mary's 1: The visiting Saints (4-7-1, 3-7-1 IAAM A Conference) took a 1-0 lead on a penalty stroke, but the Grizzlies (11-5, 8-4) scored twice in the second half to win.

Ali Baratta and Macy Miller had Garrison Forest's goals.

No. 13 John Carroll 2, Severn 1: Kasey Newman scooped up a loose ball and scored the game-winner in the second half as the host Patriots (9-3, 6-1 IAAM B Conference) beat the Admirals (5-8-1, 3-4).

Maryvale 5, Institute of Notre Dame 0: Lizzie de Guzman scored twice to lead the host Lions (9-1, 8-0 IAAM B Conference) past the Penguins (2-8, 0-8).

Mount de Sales 2, Annapolis Area Christian 0: Hannah Andrews made a save and Olivia Gretz had four saves as the host Sailors (13-4, 6-1 IAAM B Conference) shut out the Eagles (9-4, 4-4).


Catonsville 26, Lansdowne 9: Catonsville senior Trey Glover rushed for 123 yards on 16 carries and had a 6-yard touchdown run for the first score for the host Comets (2-5) in a win over Vikings (1-6).

Boys soccer

Salesianum (Del.) 5, No. 12 C. Milton Wright 1: Jay Butler had the lone goal for the Mustangs (8-5-1) as they fell to the host Sallies (10-1-1), ranked No. 6 in the country in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

No. 15 Chesapeake-AA 5, Annapolis 0: Greg Adams and Andrew Colebrook each scored twice to lead the visiting Cougars (9-2-3) past the Panthers (4-6).

No. 15 C. Milton Wright 3, Edgewood 1: Carolyn Mang had a hat trick to lead the visiting Mustangs (8-4) past the Rams (5-8).

Severn 5, Catholic 1: Eileen Doherty had a goal and two assists to lead the host Admirals (11-5-1, 9-1-1 IAAM B Conference) past the Cubs (2-13-1, 1-10-1).

Chesapeake-AA 5, Annapolis 1: Madison Turner scored twice to lead the Cougars (7-6-1) past the host Panthers (1-10).


Girls volleyball

No. 2 Howard d. Marriotts Ridge, 3-0: Sarah Sweet had 17 kills to lead the host Lions (9-2) past the Mustangs (5-7).

Howard won, 25-13, 25-11, 25-2.

Water polo

Loyola Blakefield 17, Calvert Hall 9: Strong defense and a patient offense lifted the visiting Dons (14-3) over the Cardinals (8-8).

Loyola was led by Graham Lindner with five goals. Tiernan Brunner and Patrick Elfer had four goals each.
