Macera's goal came off a pass from Maddy Walsh with 7:27 left in the second extra period, and it gave the Owls (16-3) their 8th state title.

The Vikings -- who have never won a state title -- finish 13-6.

Class 2A: Megan Guthrie scored twice as No. 1 Glenelg repeated as the 2A champion with a 3-0 win over Poolesville.

Alyssa Parker added a goal and an assist for the Gladiators (18-1).

Poolesville finishes its season 13-2.

Class 4A: Severna Park defeated Bethesda-Chevy Chase, 3-1, to win a state-record 20th championship.
