"After many prayers and discussion with my family, I have came to a final decision," Locksley wrote. "I want to thank both schools for the opportunity to play the position I love and both coaching staffs for giving me months of their time.

"But at this time I want to officially commit to THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS!!"

Locksley, the son of Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, is rated the No. 17 senior dual-threat quarteback in the nation by Rivals.com. The Greyhounds standout ran for 1,050 yards and 17 touchdowns and passed for 915 yards and five touchdowns in 2014.

Locksley played wide receiver in the Under Armour All-America Game last month, but he said afterward that he planned to play quarterback in college.
