"Officially taking an official to check out Texas the weekend of the 23rd," Locksley wrote.

The son of Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley orally committed to play for the Seminoles in July. He said at the time his choice came down to Florida State and Texas.

"I had been down there three times during the process and I built a real strong relationship with those coaches and in terms of opportunity and development, the coaching staff is top notch in all those areas," Locksley told The Baltimore Sun in July. "I felt as though it was the best school to help me make my dream come true in terms of making it to the NFL."

Locksley is rated the No. 17 senior dual-threat quarteback in the nation by Rivals.com and ran for 1,050 yards and 17 touchdowns and passed for 915 yards and five touchdowns in 2014.

He played wide receiver in the Under Armour All-America Game Friday, but insisted afterward that he planned to play quarterback in college.
