Football By The Numbers for Week 8

The wildest week of the football season -- so far, at least -- provided lots of fodder for By The Numbers. You can tell it's getting close to playoff time.

Statistics from upsets of The Baltimore Sun's top two teams -- No. 1 McDonogh at the hands of St. Frances and No. 2 Arundel by Broadneck -- as well as the usual slate of big passing and big rushing efforts made the cut. Those included  a high-scoring brother act (South Carroll's Chris and Kyle Gavin) and a quarterback (Oakland Mill's David Pindell) known for his passing ability who made all the difference this week with his feet.
