Five area boys teams primed for Youth Soccer National Championships

Five area boys soccer teams are set to compete in the  U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, set for July 21-26 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Baltimore Celtic Club qualified teams from four age groups (under-13, -14, -16, -17) and Baltimore-based Fewster FC advanced in the under-15 division.

Round-robin play will go from July 21-23 with the championship rounds set for July 25-26.

Former Baltimore Blast standouts Mike Lookingland and Machel Millwood coach the younger U-13 and U-14 teams, while McDonogh head coach Brandon Quaranta, his assistant and father Jack and Loyola University men's coach Steve Nichols guide the U-16 and U-17 squads.

Fewster FC is coached by Archbishop Curley alum and coach Barry Stitz and his high school teammate Dan Rose.

A number of high school standouts are playing for the Celtic U-16 and U-17 teams.  Here's a look at some of the talent that will try to bring home national championships:
