Former Calvert Hall soccer coach Bill Karpovich will be honored during halftime of the school's home varsity soccer game against Mount Saint Joseph on Friday.
A pregame reception will take place in the Paul Angelo Russo Dining Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the game will begin at 7 p.m. Karpovich coached at Calvert Hall from 1967 to 1997 and finished with a 422-85-33 career record and 19 championships in the Maryland Scholastic Association and Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Karpovich, a Patterson High and Johns Hopkins University graduate, was a math teacher at Calvert Hall from 1967-2001 and the department chair from 1968-1987.
In his entire coaching and teaching career, Karpovich never missed a day of school or practice, according to a news release from Calvert Hall.
