Elizabeth Fry, St. Paul’s, swimming
The senior closed out a stellar four-year career with a record-breaking day in leading the Gators to the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference championship on Sunday at Loyola Maryland.
Fry set a meet record in the 100-meter breaststroke (1 minute, 2.43 seconds), won the 200 intermediate medley and was part of the Gators’ winning 200 medley relay and runner-up 400 freestyle relay.
St. Paul’s beat runner-up Severn, 242-217, to win its second team title, with its first coming in 2010.
The Notre Dame commit won all her individual events this season, competing in the 100 breast, 100 butterfly and 200 IM.
The record she broke Sunday was set in 2012 by former St. Paul’s standout Jordan Surhoff, who became an NCAA finalist at Texas and an Olympic trial qualifier.
