J'Quane Harris, Milford Mill, football
The senior played a huge role in the Millers' disruptive defense as they upset then-No. 10 Dundalk on the road Friday night, 27-22. The 5-foot-10, 245-pound defensive end had two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, 5.5 sacks and six of his seven tackles were for losses. "He was harassing the dude the whole game," Millers coach Reggie White said of Harris' pressure on the quarterback. With the win, the Millers earned the No. 9 ranking this week. The three-year varsity veteran is the nephew of former Edmondson coach Dante Jones. He aims to play football in college and is beginning to draw attention from college coaches.
