Annapolis senior forward Jourdan Stickler, who transferred this year from Oak Hill (Va.) Academy, has a tough act to follow tonight when the Panthers host Arundel at 7.
In the Panthers' season opener on Wednesday -- a 85-62 win over South River -- Stickler finished with 40 points and added 17 rebounds in a dominating debut.
"It was a quiet 40," Annapolis coach John Brady said. "When I looked in the book I couldn't believe what I saw. He just worked real hard on the boards, especially in the third and fourth quarters and got a lot of offensive rebounds that he put back."
The Panthers will get a tougher test Friday night against Arundel, which opened the season with a win over Severna Park. The Wildcats are aggressive defensively and have senior point guard David Nicholson leading the way on offense.
