Boys' Latin has named 2005 graduate Justin Fitch as its new head wrestling coach.
Fitch replaces coach John Sargeant, who spent one season as the head coach and will remain on the staff as the associate head coach.
A varsity assistant last season, Fitch was a standout wrestler and soccer player at Boys' Latin and then wrestled for four years Muhlenberg (Pa.) College. He is a middle school math teacher at Boys' Latin.
"As a former BL wrestler, I care deeply about the school wrestling program and the sport of wrestling itself," Fitch said in a release. "I'm honored and absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to head up the varsity wrestling team. I aspire to bring the BL wrestling program to new heights and to instill the values of hard work, discipline and sportsmanship to our young men here at Boys' Latin."
