There were some scoring changes that altered the team standings in last Wednesday's Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference cross country championship.
No. 1 McDonogh still won easily with 33 points, but No. 10 Bryn Mawr now has 91 points and moved from third place to second. Notre Dame Prep went from second to third (94), while Mount de Sales (95) remained in fourth.
Notre Dame Prep coach Tom Klein noticed that his team was credited with too many finishers (eight) and notified the conference, which caused the scoring changes. Klein's unselfish act cost his team a spot, but most would agree that it was the right thing to do in that situation.
Here are the other team scores after Mount de Sales: Maryvale (118), John Carroll (132), Archbishop Spalding (141) and St. Mary's (212).
