While Patterson's Sherrod Hawkes and Milford Mill's Jamaal Morant were playing in Friday night's regional championship games, they were among eight local high school football players added to the Maryland Crab Bowl roster.
Also added in the final round of selections: Zach Abey of Archbishop Spalding; Tre Hamer of St. Paul's; Hakeem Holland and Malik Bridgers of St. Frances; Wylie Brown of Dundalk; and Antonio Thornton of Douglass.
The sixth annual Crab Bowl, which pits the Baltimore-area all stars against Washington, D.C.-area all-stars, will be played Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. at McDaniel College in Westminster.
