Thirty-one Baltimore-area girls lacrosse players are among 450 nationwide named US Lacrosse High School All-Americans Wednesday.
The players, chosen from 67 US Lacrosse chapters across the country, are selected by local coaches and representatives of the chapter and for their "superior skills and techniques and ... exceptional game sense and knowledge."
No. 1 McDonogh led the way with five All-Americans, including three first-team selections -- Elizabeth George, Brindi Griffin and Olivia Jenner.
The following girls were named All-Americans from the Greater Baltimore, Chesapeake and Western Maryland chapters.
