"I've talked with my family, friends, and coaches," Hill wrote on Twitter. "After giving this much thought and consideration, I will be taking back my verbal commitment to Maryland. I will be taking my visits to schools and will only talk to coaches and schools who are recruiting me."

Hill committed to Maryland in June after receiving an offer in March. 247sports.com ranks the 6-foot, 190-pound Hill as the No. 123 cornerback in the Class of 2016 and the No. 37 player in New Jersey.

Before Motley, Maryland hadn't had a decommitment since former coach Randy Edsall was fired in October. Two-star defensive tackle Jeffery Pooler decommitted from Maryland on Sept. 28.
