Maryland coach DJ Durkin's focus on the secondary has been clear with the Terps signing six defensive backs in the Class of 2016 and snagging verbal commitments from two more in the Class of 2017.On Tuesday, Durkin and Maryland took a step closer to securing the pledge of another local cornerback.Riverdale Baptist cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields released his top six school choices on Twitter -- a list that includes Maryland, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan State and North Carolina.Castro-Fields is a consensus three-star recruit. In the 247sports.com composite rankings, he's the No. 11 player in Maryland, No. 44 cornerback nationally and No. 484 player overall. The Terps already have commitments from three of the top 10 players in the state.
