After Maryland knocked off back-to-back undefeated teams last week, the Terps moved up to No. 3 in the Inside Lacrosse Cascade Division I women’s media poll Monday.
The only teams remaining unbeaten in Division I are ranked ahead of the defending national champions — No. 1 Stony Brook and No. 2 Boston College.
Maryland’s 15-12 win over then-No. 3 James Madison on Saturday, after beating then-No. 7 Penn, 13-7, on Thursday, pushed the Terps ahead of the Dukes, who dropped one spot.
Towson moved back into the top 10 after upsetting then-No. 6 Florida, 14-11, on Wednesday. The loss dropped the Gators to No. 8. That helped Loyola Maryland, which is on a six-game winning streak, moved up a spot to No. 8.
