Women's lacrosse Game of the Week (Feb. 15): No. 1 Maryland at No. 3 Florida

No. 1 Maryland (1-0) at No. 3 Florida (1-0)

When: Saturday, noon

Outlook: The defending national champion Terps are 3-0 against Florida and have won by exactly 10 goals each time. Last season, however, Megan Taylor, who went on to be named National Goalie of the Year, made the difference. The Terps led 6-3 at halftime before a 7-1 run through the middle of the second half sparked an 18-8 victory. Taylor had 15 of her 20 saves in the first half as the Gators outshot the Terps, 24-17. Taylor (Glenelg) is back in goal and the Terps again have a deep, prolific offense. Both teams rolled in their season openers. The Terps beat William & Mary, 18-7, with four goals each from Megan Whittle (McDonogh) and Caroline Steele (Severn). Florida topped then-No. 16 Colorado, 16-9, with three goals each from Lindsey Ronbeck and Madi Hall (Century).
