Collins tied Patriot League tournament records for goals (11) and points (13) as she led the then-No. 10 Midshipmen to a 17-10 victory over then-No. 8 Loyola Maryland for the conference championship Sunday. The tournament's Most Valuable Player, Collins scored six goals against Loyola as Navy avenged its regular-season loss to the Greyhounds for the second straight year in the Patriot League final. The River Hill graduate got the Midshipmen off to a quick start as she scored four of their first five goals. Collins also scored five goals and had two assists in the 20-5 semifinal victory over Lehigh on Friday. In the two games, she hit 11 of 16 shots. She is third among the NCAA tournament-bound Midshipmen in scoring with 59 goals and 24 assists. Last season, Collins was named to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament team after helping the Midshipmen reach the final four for the first time in program history.
