Varsity roundup (April 18): Shay Ahearn, Hannah Glaros lead No. 2 Glenelg Country to girls lacrosse victory

Girls lacrosse

No. 2 Glenelg Country 16, Mount de Sales 8: Shay Ahearn had four goals and Hannah Glaros had a hat trick to lead the visiting Dragons (8-2, 7-1 IAAM A Conference) past the Sailors (5-7, 2-7).

Catholic 17, St. Timothy's 4: Erika Grabys had seven goals and Meghan Stephen had two goals and three assists to lead the host Cubs (7-1, 5-1) over St. Timothy's (3-2, 3-2) in a rematch of last year's IAAM C Conference final.

Roland Park 19, Severn 11: Shannon Smith scored seven goals and Kaitlin Shaw had six goals to lead the host Reds (8-8, 3-6 IAAM A Conference) past the Admirals (3-9, 1-6). Roland Park won 20 of 32 draw controls.

John Carroll 13, Garrison Forest 8: Katie Hormes and Molly Lynch each had a hat trick to lead the Patriots (8-5, 4-4 IAAM A Conference) past the host Grizzlies (1-10, 0-7).

Baseball

No. 10 Dulaney 6, Eastern Tech 3: Ben Stoner (3-for-3) had a home run and two RBIs to lead the host Lions (8-1) past the Mavericks (4-6).

Towson 11, Perry Hall 1, 5 innings: Left-hander Nick Testoni (2-1) worked five innings, gave up one run on three hits, walked one and struck out six as the host Generals (4-5) beat the Gators (1-7).

Softball

No. 4 C. Milton Wright 10, No. 5 Archbishop Spalding 5: Winning pitcher Emily Kim had eight strikeouts and the host Mustangs (6-1) beat the Cavs (6-3).

Edgewood 20, Joppatowne 3: Winning pitcher Lexi Buchanan struck out five and the host Rams (6-4) beat the Mariners (0-7).

 

Mount de Sales 19, Catholic 5: Karlee Stocksdale (4-for-4) had two doubles, four RBIs and four runs scored and the Sailors (2-6, 2-3 IAAM A Conference) beat the host Cubs (1-5, 0-5).

Patterson Mill 2, Elkton 0: Winning pitcher Dakota Pitts worked seven innings, gave up two hits, walked two and struck out 13 as the Huskies (9-0) shut out the host Golden Elks (4-5).
