Time: 1 p.m.

Maryland Terrapins

Record: 12-5

Coach: John Tillman

Coach's record: 45-29

Loyola Greyhounds

Record: 17-1

Coach: Charley Toomey

Coach's record: 62-37

Leading scorer: Senior attackman Eric Lusby (50 goals, 17 assists)

Goalie: Sophomore Jack Runkel (7.57 goals-against average, .552 save percentage)

Series history: Maryland has dominated this series, winning 19 of 20 contests since 1940. Loyola's lone win occurred on March 19, 1989 when the Greyhounds scored a 10-8 decision in Baltimore. The Terps and Loyola last met May 23, 1998 when Maryland, a No. 5 seed at the time, upset the No. 1 seed Greyhounds, 19-8, in an NCAA tournament semifinal.

Matchup to watch: Lusby, a fifth-year senior, has compiled 13 goals and five assists in three tournament games, and he — not junior attackman and Tewaaraton Award finalist Mike Sawyer — has emerged as Loyola's most dangerous playmaker. Lusby, who can dodge and initiate as effectively as he can score goals, will likely draw the defensive attention of Terps freshman Goran Murray. Murray has limited Johns Hopkins junior attackman Zach Palmer to one goal and Duke sophomore attackman Jordan Wolf to two assists in his last two starts.
