Like that one way-too-old friend who just keeps returning to Seacrets in Ocean City year after year, the Maryland men’s lacrosse team has established something of a Memorial Day weekend tradition.

On Saturday, the top-seeded Terps will face No. 4 Duke at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., for what will be their seventh appearance in a national semifinal in coach John Tillman’s eight seasons. Only one of them had a happy ending — well, two, if you’re a Loyola Maryland fan — but sometimes championship droughts go on for 42 years.
