Jay Carlson (St. Paul's) netted a hat trick in the first half and finished with four goals to lead the top-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over host Michigan on Tuesday.
The Terps improved their record to 7-0.
The Wolverines fell to 4-5.
Michigan took the early lead on a goal by Thomas Paras at the 12:42 mark, but Maryland scored the next five goals.
In the second half, the Terps used another 5-0 run to pull away.

Messiah 7, McDaniel 5: Carly Bajus and Ida Ehrhardt (C. Milton Wright) each scored a goal in the closing minutes to lift the Falcons (2-4) over the Green Terror (4-1) in Clermont.
Messiah led 5-3 in the second period before McDaniel rallied to tie the game.
Julia Jacobs (St. Mary's) led McDaniel with three goals.
