Miranda Ibello (Maryvale) scored the game-winner with eight seconds left on an assist from Maggie Schneidereith (Towson) to lift No. 14 Johns Hopkins to a 12-11 victory over No. 18 Georgetown in women's lacrosse Wednesday.
The host Blue Jays and the Hoyas are both 3-1.
The game featured nine ties and the series has had five one-goal games in the past nine meetings.
Georgetown's Morgan Ryan completed her hat trick to tie the score at 11 with 28.9 seconds left.
Hopkins' Ellie McNulty (Broadneck) won the last two draw controls. Mackenzie Heldberg had a game-high four goals for Hopkins.
No. 2 Maryland 18, UMBC 1: Megan Taylor (Glenelg) made five saves and Julia Hoffman (McDonogh) and Erica Evans each had a hat trick as the Terps (4-0) routed the host Retrievers (4-4). Maryland opened with a 4-0 run before Brittany Levine scored UMBC's lone goal on an assist from Payton Van Kirk. The Terps reeled off 14 goals straight.
Maryland won 16 of 21 draw controls and outshot UMBC, 35-8.
The Terps travel to Hofstra on Saturday at noon.
No. 4 Syracuse 15, No. 12 Loyola Maryland 11: Emily Hawryschuk scored two of her four goals during an opening 7-0 run by the visiting Orange (5-1).
The Greyhounds fell to 1-2. Livy Rosenzweig scored four goals to lead Loyola. Syracuse has won three straight.
"We started out very well again, led by our defense." said Syracuse coach Gary Gait. "It was very exciting to see how well they played. They kept getting us the ball back every time it went down there. I'm proud of the defense. I thought our offense, in the first half, took good quality shots. In the second half, some our shots didn't fall. We were 3-for-12 in the second half. We need to work on that and we will."
Navy 14, Villanova 6: Kelly Larkin tied a career-best with six goals and the Mids (3-1) rolled past the host Wildcats (2-2). Navy took a 13-3 lead in the first half.
Gab Harchelroad made five saves for the Mids, who won their third straight.

No. 1 Boston College 20, Dartmouth 10: Abbey Ngai made 12 saves in her first college start and the host Eagles (5-0) used an 11-4 run in the second half to pull away from the Big Green (1-3).
Sam Apuzzo had eight goals and two assists for Boston College, which hosts No. 17 Southern California on Friday at 3 p.m.
No. 8 Penn 15, Rutgers 5: Gabby Rosenzweig scored four goals to lead the visiting Quakers (3-0) past the Scarlet Knights (3-2). Penn led 6-2 in the first half. Taralyn Naslonski had four goals for Rutgers.
No. 15 Princeton 21, No. 11 Penn State 10: The host Tigers (2-1) used a 5-0 run and a 6-0 run in the first half to take control and beat the Nittany Lions (3-1). Tess D'Orsi and Elizabeth George (McDonogh) each had five goals for Princeton and Madison Carter (South River) had five goals for Penn State.
