Comment: The Greyhounds and Great Danes have met just once, with Albany winning, 19-10, in the first round of the NCAA tournament on May 13, 2007. With 50 goals, junior attackman Nikko Pontrello became the fourth player in the program's Division I history to reach the milestone, joining Eric Lusby (54 in 2012), Mike Sawyer (52 in 2012) and Tim Goettelmann (50 in 2000).
NO. 7 MARYLAND (11-3)
Coming up: Vs. Cornell, Saturday, 5 p.m., Byrd Stadium
Comment: The Terps are 13-3 overall against the Big Red, but Cornell has won three of the four meetings in the NCAA tournament, including last year's 16-8 rout in the first round. With 100 ground balls this season, junior faceoff specialist Charlie Raffa became the first player in program history to get that many since Brian Haggerty finished with 100 in 1999.
JOHNS HOPKINS (10-4)
Coming up: At No. 8 seed Virginia, Sunday, 1 p.m.
Comment: The Blue Jays are 56-29-1 against the Cavaliers, who won the regular-season meeting, 11-10, in overtime on March 22. With 38 and 35 goals, respectively, attackmen Ryan Brown and Brandon Benn are the first Hopkins players to score 35 goals in the same year since Bobby Benson (41) and Kyle Barrie (37) did it in 2003.

Comment: Coming off a strong ACC championship victory over No. 2 Syracuse, the Terps are aiming for their 12th national title.
LOYOLA MARYLAND (14-5)
Coming up: Vs. Massachusetts, Friday, 2 p.m., at Boston College
Comment: The Greyhounds (14-5) last played the Minutewomen in the 2011 tournament and came away with a 14-7 win. UMass is 18-1 but hasn't beaten a ranked team.
Coming up: Vs. Stony Brook, Friday, 4 p.m., at Syracuse
Comment: The Tigers (11-7) face a rematch of last season's NCAA tournament opener, an 8-6 loss. The Seawolves (16-3) have the nation's stingiest defense, allowing just 4.79 goals per game.

Comment: The Blue Jays (15-4) are back in the tournament after seven years and face a Hoyas team they beat, 11-10, in overtime March 21.
