No. 4 Duke men (7-1) at No. 1 Syracuse (6-0)
When: Sunday, 12:30 p.m.
Outlook: The Orange enjoy a 7-5 lead against their Atlantic Coast Conference rivals, but the Blue Devils have won four of the last five meetings. Two of the top offenses in Division I are led by a pair of Tewaaraton Award candidates. Junior midfielder Myles Jones, who ranks third in the country at 5.6 points per game, fuels a Duke unit ranked third in scoring at 16 goals. Senior attackman Kevin Rice, who is tied for fifth at 2.8 assists per contest, paces a Syracuse offense ranked fourth in scoring at 14.8.
No. 1 Maryland women (8-0) at No. 6 Northwestern (4-2)
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Outlook: Archrivals on the national stage over the past five years, the two have their inaugural showdown as Big Ten rivals when the Terps head to Evanston for the first time since 2007. Maryland leads the series 8-6 and won last year's national semifinal, 9-6, but the two have split their past four meetings, including two national championships. One area the Wildcats are no longer dominating is the draw with opponents winning more through their first six meetings. The Terps have dominated time of possession but need to sharpen their shooting after hitting just 12 of 36 attempts in Wednesday's 12-7 win over No. 11 Penn.
