Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week (May 21): Kristen Lamon, Maryland

The St. Mary's graduate had a career-high six points in helping lead the No. 1 Terps to a 17-5 win over No. 8 Northwestern in Sunday's NCAA quarterfinal game in College Park. Lamon finished with four goals and two assists, and all but one goal came in a second-half explosion that extended Maryland's 6-4 halftime lead. She scored the first goal of the second half and had another goal and an assist as the Terps extended their lead to 10-4 in the first 5:28 of the second half. Lamon, who is on the field only when the Terps play attack, is sixth on Maryland's offense with 21 goals and 11 assists.
