Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week (May 14): Kara Burke, Loyola Maryland

The Dulaney graduate tied an NCAA tournament record with eight goals in Sunday's 19-12 second-round upset of fifth-seeded Boston College. Burke also had six goals in the Greyhounds' 21-3 win over Bryant in the first round Friday. Her 14 goals in two games ranks seventh all time for a single tournament. Burke now has 68 goals for the season, moving into a second-place tie on Loyola's all-time single-season list. She needs four more to break the Greyhounds' record. Burke, who was the Most Valuable Player in the Patriot League tournament three weeks ago, also has 21 assists and leads the Greyhounds with 89 point
