In a season-opening 17-5 upset of then-No. 20 Georgetown, McCartney matched the Hoyas' offensive output all by herself with four goals and an assist. She also won three draws and had a ground ball. The three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association selection helped the Blue Hens break into the Top 20 and earn their first win over a ranked team in almost two years. McCartney, who has 121 career goals, has six goals, two assists and seven draw controls this season as the Blue Hens improved to 2-0 with Tuesday's 22-2 win at Lafayette.
