Women's lacrosse Player of the Week (April 9): Brittain Altomare, Hofstra

The Middletown graduate led the Pride to a 2-0 week, including a five-point performance in a 13-8 win over then-No. 15 James Madison, Hofstra's first win over a ranked opponent in more than five years. She had four goals, one assist and six draw controls in the Pride's Colonial Athletic Association opener. Altomare then had two goals, two assists and eight draw controls in another CAA win, 13-8 over William & Mary. She leads the Pride (7-4) with 28 goals and 31 assists, and her 65 draw controls are a single-season school record.
