Vander Kolk, who has played every minute this season, made 18 saves, including 11 in the second half, to help Virginia upset then-No. 2 and previously-undefeated Boston College, 15-13, this past Saturday. She had three saves and a ground ball in the final three minutes to preserve the victory — the No. 5 Cavaliers' second over at Top 5 team in three games. The Severna Park graduate, who helped the Falcons win three state lacrosse titles, also made nine saves in a 16-9 win at William & Mary last week.
