Brown's Dylan Molloy, one of the top players in the nation, will likely miss today's game against Navy in the NCAA tournament quarterfinals, the school announced this morning.
Molloy injured his foot in Brown's first round win over Johns Hopkins last Saturday, the school said.
An All-American, the junior attackman was the Ivy League Player of the Year and is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award as the nation's top player.
Molloy is the nation's leader in points and assists this season. His 114 points (60 goals, 54 assists) in 2016 are fourth best in NCAA lacrosse history.
Brown, the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, is playing host to a quarterfinal doubleheader at Brown Stadium. No. 1 Maryland faces No. 8 Syracuse in the first game at noon, with Brown-Navy to follow.
