What's at stake: Towson carries plenty of momentum heading into Saturday's game. The Tigers stunned Connecticut, a Football Bowl Subdivision member, 33-18 in East Hartford, Conn. The win gave Towson its fifth straight win — the second-longest longest winning streak among FCS teams behind North Dakota State. Holy Cross, a rival of Towson's when the Tigers were in the Patriot League, suffered a 17-16 loss to Bryant in its season opener last week.

Key matchup: Towson's dynamic rushing attack was led against UConn by All-American junior Terrance West (Northwestern) and senior Sterlin Phifer. West, the Colonial Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week, rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries against the Huskies, while Phifer rushed for a 5-yard touchdown and caught a 23-yard scoring pass. They'll face a tough Holy Cross linebacker corps led by fifth-year senior Roman SanDoval, who made seven solo tackles against Bryant.

Player to watch: Senior quarterback Peter Athens completed 13 of 20 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) against UConn. He'll face pressure from a stingy Holy Cross defense led by senior defensive end Gary Acquah and senior outside linebacker Mike Tucker. Acquah, a second-team All-Patriot League selection, made five tackles in the season opener at Bryant.
