Navy defense vs. Western Kentucky offense: Senior tailback Antonio Andrews is one of the top all-around players the Midshipmen will face this season. Andrews accounted for 3,161 all-purpose yards as a junior, the second most in Football Bowl Subdivision history behind Barry Sanders in his 1988 Heisman Trophy season. Andrews is averaging 8.4 yards per carry on 65 attempts, scoring six TDs. He had 213 yards and five TDs last week against Morgan State. If Navy gets a big lead and forces the Hilltoppers to pass, it could get ugly. WKU is ranked last in the country in turnover margin. First-year coach Bobby Petrino, who is trying to resurrect his career after getting fired at Arkansas, has opened the quarterback competition after junior Brandon Doughty threw eight interceptions in losses to Tennessee and South Alabama. Freshman Todd Porter started against Morgan State, but three other QBs, including Doughty, played. Linebackers Cody Peterson (19 tackles) and D.J. Sargenti lead a rushing defense for Navy ranked 48th (137.5 yards a game).
