Series: South Carolina State leads, 30-5-1

What's at stake: Last week's 45-0 loss to North Carolina A&T was a huge blow for Morgan State, which dropped out of a three-way tie for first place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The Bears still have a shot at capturing a share of the league championship, but they would need some help. While that may not be in Morgan State's control, the team knows it must win its last two conference games to remain in the conversation, and that begins against the Bulldogs, who are riding a three-game winning streak and have won the past nine meetings with the Bears.

Key matchup: Morgan State has kept the identity of its starting quarterback under wraps as redshirt senior Robert Council and redshirt junior Moses Skillon both fared poorly in the loss to the Aggies. Whoever lines up under center on Saturday must be wary of South Carolina State's penchant for intercepting passes. The Bulldogs are tied for second in the MEAC with 12 interceptions, and they lead all Football Championship Subdivision defenses with four interceptions returned for touchdowns. Eight of their players have an interception so far.

Player to watch: Nose tackle Javon Hargrave has powered a South Carolina State pass rush that leads the MEAC in sacks (38) and ranks third in the country in that category. The junior leads the league and the nation in sacks with 16 and ranks second in the FCS in tackles for loss with 22. Morgan State leads the MEAC and is tied for 27th in the FCS in fewest sacks allowed, surrendering just 13 thus far.
