Howard (0-3) at Morgan State (0-2)
When: Saturday, 7
Site: Hughes Stadium
TV: SportsFever Television Network, ESPN3
Radio: 88.9 FM
Series: Morgan State leads 40-33, with 3 ties
What's at stake: Last place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Fresh off a bye, Morgan State hopes to bounce back from two losses in which it was outscored 113-24. Last time out, the Bears fell 62-0 to a Marshall team that then surrendered 65 points in its next game. Interim coach Fred Farrier seeks his first win against longstanding rival Howard, a team Morgan has beaten in nine of their last 11 meetings. The Bison were thrashed, 52-13, by Maryland and have been outscored 138-34. Howard hasn't won a game since last Halloween. They'll play under the lights for the first time at Hughes Stadium since 2010.
Key matchup: Senior running back Orlando Johnson vs. a porous Howard defense that's allowing more than 300 yards rushing per game. Johnson is averaging five yards a carry and has scored the Bears' only two touchdowns on the ground.
Player to watch: Senior linebacker Greg Gibson, whose 12 tackles against Marshall were a career high and the lone bright spot in that blowout.
