Series: Morgan State leads, 35-24

What’s at stake: Incentive is high for both teams to climb out of the MEAC basement. Give the edge to the Bears, whose lone victory came against Savannah State, which pummeled Delaware State last week. Plus, Morgan State has defeated the Hornets in their past seven meetings.

Key matchup: The Bears’ rejuvenated offense vs. the scoreboard. Against Bethune-Cookman last week, Morgan State totaled 504 yards, yet lost, 41-28. In its past three games — all losses — coach Fred Farrier’s team has rolled up 1,460 yards; for the season, the Bears have gained just 164 yards less than their opponents, yet look where they are.

Player to watch: Eric Harrell, Morgan State’s 5-foot-9 waterbug who, last week, rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns.
