Series: Towson leads, 1-0

What's at stake: The Tigers' 27-24 loss to Maine snapped a two-game winning streak and three consecutive victories in Colonial Athletic Association openers. Towson is under .500 in the conference for the first time since 2010 as the Seawolves visit. Stony Brook has dropped its last two games, including a 27-21 overtime loss to William & Mary last Saturday. The Tigers defeated the Seawolves in the only meeting between the two programs — a 35-21 win on Sept. 28, 2013.

Key matchup: Keep an eye on two of the CAA's top running backs. Towson sophomore Darius Victor leads the conference in yards (588), yards per rushing attempt (5.7) and rushing touchdowns (6). He also has recorded four 100-yard rushing efforts this season and needs just 41 yards to match his total from last year. Stony Brook sophomore Stacey Bedell ranks fourth in yards (401), is tied for second in yards per attempt (5.6), and is tied for third in rushing touchdowns (three). Bedell has posted three 100-yard games this season.

Player to watch: This game will also feature two of the best pass rushers in the league. Tigers senior defensive end Ryan Delaire and Seawolves senior strong safety Christian Ricard are tied for first in the CAA with six sacks each. Ricard leads the conference in tackles for loss with 11 1/2 , and Delaire is third with nine. Stony Brook leads the league with 17 sacks, while Towson ranks third with 13.
