Division I college lacrosse games of the week

MEN

No. 1 Syracuse (7-0) vs. No. 4 Duke (8-2)

Sunday, 7

Outlook: The top-ranked Orange owns a 5-1 advantage in the series, but this is the first regular-season meeting since March28, 1992. Senior defenseman John Lade, who has shut down some of the top attackmen thus far, could shadow Blue Devils senior attackman Zach Howell. Duke freshman attackman Jordan Wolf has 18 goals and eight assists in his past six games.

WOMEN

No. 3 Duke (9-1) at No. 2 Northwestern (9-0)

Saturday, 1 p.m.

Outlook: Northwestern has gotten the better of this rivalry six straight times, including 18-8 in last year's NCAA quarterfinals. Although both have similar victory margins — Wildcats by 7.78 goals and the Blue Devils by 5.4 — against three common opponents, Northwestern has won by 10 and Duke by 4.3. The Wildcats certainly have the edge playing at Lakeside Field, where they have won 65 of their past 66 games.
