Scouting report: Delaware State at Morgan State

Series: Morgan State leads 29-23.

What's at stake: The Bears and Hornets meet for the 53rd time in a series that dates to 1945. Both teams are coming off respective victories over North Carolina A&T; in their last games, beginning with Morgan's 27-14 win over the Aggies two weeks ago and the Hornets' 31-26 victory last Saturday. The Bears' offense is ranked last in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with an output of only 186.2 yards per game. Delaware State owns the conference's worst defense, yielding an average of 390.3 total yards per contest.

Key matchup: The Bears will look to junior safety Reshaude Miller to stymie Delaware State quarterback Anthony Glaud. The redshirt senior ranks second in the MEAC in passing yards per game, averaging 154.3 yards through the air. Glaud has thrown six touchdown passes this season and was a second-team preseason All-MEAC selection. Miller leads Morgan with two interceptions and ranks second on the team with 37 tackles.

Players to watch: Bears sophomore linebacker Allen Stephens is the third-leading tackler in the MEAC with 48 stops. Stephens has seven tackles for loss and averages eight tackles per game. Redshirt freshman quarterback Delonte Williams made his starting debut for Morgan on Oct. 9 and rushed for three touchdowns en route to Sports Network/ National Freshman Player of the Week honors. Delaware State redshirt senior defensive lineman Andre Caroll ranks second in the MEAC with 60 tackles and leads the team with two sacks and four quarterback hurries.
