Tomlin throws for 4 TDs to lead Hopkins past Dickinson, 44-10

Hewitt Tomlin went 25-for-35 for 271 yards and threw four touchdown passes as host Johns Hopkins beat Dickinson, 44-10, on Friday. The Blue Jays (3-2, 3-1 Centennial Conference)have won four straight against the Red Devils (1-4, 1-3). Nick Fazio capped a 15-play, 87-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to open the scoring. With 1:39 left in the first quarter, Tomlin threw his first touchdown pass of the game, a 17-yarder to Sam Wernick, as Hopkins took a 14-0 lead. Tomlin threw his second touchdown pass, a 5-yarder, to Tucker Michaels with 5:07 left in the first half. Gordon Craig kicked a 23-yard field goal for Dickinson's first points of the game. Tomlin threw two more touchdown passes in the third quarter, and Alex Lachman went a perfect 5-for-5 in extra-point attempts and 3-for-3 in field-goal attempts, all in the second half. Dickinson's Mike Shimkin had a 1-yard touchdown run with 13:49 left in the game for Dickinson's final points. Hopkins totaled 476 offensive yards and held Dickinson to 191.
