Katrina Dowd scored an unassisted goal with 1:28 left to lift No. 1 Northwestern (6-0) to a 13-12 win over No. 7 Syracuse (4-2) Sunday before an announced 1,583, the second-largest crowd in Orange history.

Trailing 10-7 at halftime, Northwestern scored five straight goals to take an 11-10 lead with 17:33 remaining. Syracuse drew even on a goal by senior Christina Dove (Bel Air) with 14:58 on the clock.

Northwestern's Danielle Spencer broke the tie with her game-high sixth goal at the 5:16 mark, but Tee Ladouceur scored on an assist from Dove at the 2:47 mark to pull the teams even.

The Orange won the ensuing draw but turned the ball over, giving the Wildcats possession with 2:36 remaining, and Dowd came up with the winner.
