No. 3 Duke routs Navy, 19-10; UMBC tops Delaware, 9-7

The No. 3 Duke women scored the game's first nine goals while holding visiting Navy off the scoreboard for nearly 20 minutes in rolling to a 19-10 victory. The Midshipmen trailed 11-2 at halftime and 17-3 midway through the second half. Navy (9-2) got two goals each from Danielle Vivonetto and Mandrin Hill. The Blue Devils (9-1), whose only loss this season came to No. 2 Maryland, earned their fifth straight victory.

More Division I: Visiting UMBC (6-3) scored seven of the final 10 goals and rallied to a 9-7 victory over Delaware (2-5). The game was tied six times before the Retrievers pulled ahead early in the second half and won their fourth in a row. The Blue Hens played most of the game without their leading scorer, junior Ali Libertini, who left with an ankle injury. UMBC sophomores Emily Coady (Westminster) and Alicia Krause (Mount Hebron) each scored two goals, and junior Amanda Pappas ( Chesapeake-Anne Arundel) had two assists. Senior goalie Kate Quick (Maryvale Prep) made 10 saves for the Retrievers.

Division III: Sophomore attacker Kalli Parrish (McDonogh) scored four goals as Washington College (4-2) earned a 12-8 victory at Randolph-Macon (3-1). The Shorewomen scored six of the game's first seven goals and led by as much as 12-4.
